Finding an old story about filing for divorce first?

I remember YEARS ago that had a handwritten note that a husband wrote on a napkin or receipt or something that was short, but poignant, and ended with something like:
"Well, I filed first, go frick yourself bitch"
The story was that he was living in a state where the "filer" of a divorce has a lot more control and more leverage, etc. so he wrote the note while racing to the clerk's office and filed the "napkin" in an effort to beat her to the punch.
Anyone hear of or remember this story? I believe it was real because the article had a picture of the napkin and it was hilarious.
I googled, but came up dry. OT Sleuths, assemble!

Seems unlikely. Laws usually aren't written to encourage a rush to the courthouse for divorce filings.
eta: and it may have been a fight at the house and the woman was like, "I'm calling the lawyer" and he was like, "Ok, see ya... BbBBbrrrrRRrrrrrr" to the courthouse because she was going to be filing the next day or something...?

I can't help you, but the story sounds either made up or from a point of view of someone that didn't really understand. Doesn't matter. Just an aside.

Well, doesn't filing first, at least in most states, allow the filer to have the control on dates/preceedings and also prevent the spouse from hiding monies and other assets as of the time stamp on the filed paperwork?

I’m no expert, but I think there probably is an advantage to filing 1st. However, it is infinitesimal compared to the advantages of being a woman with kids. The law is so incredibly unfair to fathers, especially in Louisiana. One reason I probably stayed in my marriage too long. Biggest reason, though, was that I was not gonna let my kids ever think that I “left” them. Ever.

Should make little difference in the long run who filed first. Two advantages I can think of are that the party who files first establishes the venue if there is more than one choice, and they may get temporary orders signed before the other party gets a say.
