I lived roughly 9 months working and living in Louisiana. I moved to Cleveland Ohio for a promotion with the same company around mid October. I just received my W2 and I only see the state taxes from Ohio On there.

I’m really not well versed on tax practices. I’ve filed single and 0 all year so I would expect to get a return from both states. Of course this would have bearing on federal filing.

Any CPA’s in here can give me a little insight on what I should do here?

I would sure hope so.

You owe tax in both states. If you didn't change your permanent residency to Ohio you owe LA tax for all year. If you don't have any idea what you are doing pay a CPA 150 bucks to file your return this year.

You fill out a state tax return for each state you worked in, and one federal return.

I’m leaning toward this

So am I taxed on only the amount I made while working and living in each state?

Ask a NFL football player, they have to file taxes for every state they play in during a season.
