What if you were married in a church? Some churches don't seem to recognize a marriage outside a church, well, at least unless it benefits them to.

Congrats on losing half of everything that you own. If you have any kids then congrats on your life being a living hell until they are grown.

Your a selfish stupid prick for divorcing your wife because she doesn't pick up after herself. You have just ruined your kids life. I hope you enjoy your freedom. Good luck in the next relationship. O yeah, if you get divorced for anything other than sexual immorality on her part then your still married to her through God. Any other woman that you marry will be considered adultery because your still married to your first wife. You should have thought this through. Its one thing to burn with lust, it's another thing to burn in hell because you gave up on your marriage.

Have you been living separate and apart for one year? If not...you need to do that.

She owns half. He isn't losing anything. He decided to rent some arse and it didn't work out. He's paying the closing costs now.

What a church does or does not do is mostly irrelevant. You seem to miss the key point. What God says and thinks is all that matters.

I'm pretty sure that's only Catholic church. Just another way for them to squeeze money out of people.

You know one thing I never hear anyone say?

Yeh, a little typo issue there. I meant "weren't married in a church."

If you know who the judges could potentially be, go to your secretary of states website and find out which 5 firms donate the most money to the judge. Go and talk to all of them and then pick one.

If you have a prenup it should be an easy divorce, that is a contract and they will not break it.

Wow, I did not know that. That is a real shame, she was a really nice lady. I know she had a couple of young daughters as well.

Additionally, times have changed. We're living a hell of a lot longer these days in contrast to 2000+ years ago. Back then, if you both stayed alive to 40 you were probably doing good. When we marry young, we really don't appreciate what we are committing to when we take those vows. So 20 or 30 or more years together can and will test many relationships.

As for the hell part, did it ever occur to you that all the cute horny women are probably going to be residing in hell? Think about it.

Then again, your hell can be right here on earth. Being in a shitty marriage is just one example of it.

Have you considered counseling? Divorce is much worse, harsh on the kids and family. Every person will have some issues, but try again. It will save a lot of heartache, heart ripping grief and you will not be better off financially!!! If it does not work out then divorce is an option.
