Black people don't hate white people near as much as they hate black people apparently...

The only difference now compared to when Maynard Jackson was mayor is that the black population share of Atlanta has virtually collapsed since Y2K.

I've seen projections that if current trends continue puts the black population of the city between 28% and 32% by 2030. Staggering to think about considering in 1990 it was 70%. 1996 Olympics changed everything.

Why did they run out all the black people? Where are they to go now that they are priced out of their areas?

To the suburbs. Which have experienced a huge demographic shift opposite of the city. They city and suburbs are going two different directions.

Lawnmower sales in the greater Atlanta area have plummeted.

it's basically located in the ghetto. i know we're talking Atlanta, so it may seem obvious.

No its not LOL...its in an industrial area now that is in the process of being gentrified pretty fast. frick around on the other side of the river and you might be right but on the Cobb County side Mableton and Austell are pretty decent areas and getting better and better....and more expensive. We have 2 rental properties withing 3 miles of 6 Flags and we have never had a minutes trouble...and I have owned one of them since the early 80s.

The city proper has been greatly gentrified the last 20 years. There isn't as much ghetto as people think or what used to be. There are still bad areas, like Adamsville, which is adjacent to Six Flags on the other side of the river inside the city limits. That's probably the worst part of the entire city now. I wouldn't drive through there in broad daylight. But other parts of the city are perfectly fine, like West Midtown where my sister and BIL are. Great area. Clean and safe.

Even the West End, which used to be the worst area of the entire city not just a decade ago, has been gentrified w/a lot of new shops and housing. Along w/the beltline running through there.

ETA: And I'm sure this will be ignored by all of the "aLl oF AtLaNtA iS a sHiThOlE" tards.

Anyone who thinks Austell and Mableton is ghetto has never worked for a living or is so country that a crow causes them to hunt a gun...it is an industrial park setting for the most part but it is pretty damn safe in the area. No go back across the river onto Fulton Industrial and you might find some interesting stories to tell but the Cobb County side of the river is merely working people...it ain't the prettiest parts of Atlanta but its about as safe as Atlanta gets.

1990 was basically the nadir. However, while the overall city population is at an all time high (surpassing 1970), the white share is still 50,000 short of the 1970 level:

Year White Pop Percentage
1960 300,635 61.67%
1970 240,503 48.30%
1980 137,879 32.44%
1990 122,327 31.04%
2000 130,222 31.27%
2010 152,377 36.28%
2020 192,148 38.53%

I mean, look at this board.

FWIW, Six Flags always seemed to be its own thing compared to the rest of the area in terms of attracting trouble.

That area was doomed when the City of Atlanta was blocked from annexing the corridor decades ago, and the combo of unincorporated Fulton County and (later) the city of South Fulton treating it like a red-headed stepchild (except for industrial tax revenue) is why the corridor is what it is.

This kind of crap doesn't happen in Wakanda. It's only when whites are present.
