My guess is a combo of stimulus money, people wanting to get the eff out of the house and some cheap vacation deals.
I’ve seen it on 5 different flights to Cabo/Cancun, 1 to Costa Rica and 1 to Nassau, along with a lot of domestic flights.
It really is insanity. Oh and getting thru customs in a foreign country with these same mouth breathers is a ton of fun.

I think a big underlying factor is the suck that air travel is today. Long lines to check in, long lines at TSA, ever shrinking space on the plane, constantly cancelled flights.
By the time people get to the plane they are in foul moods.
It causes their lack if intelligence and inability to deal with adversity to be magnified.

I love road trips, driven all over the country, but some here are dramatic queens.
I just got back from Cabo and not once did I look at anyone, in any airport, and let it affect my trip, not one. Some People here are so sensitive and easily triggered.

Definitely agree with that.
Scruffy, personally, hates airports and airlines.
Complete lack of control. No recourse if flight is cancelled.
If Scruffy could avoid airlines entirely, he would, but sadly he can’t.

I know what you mean.
I had some bad airport moments.
And The flight from Mexico to Houston was miserable. They shut down Hobby for weather so we did circles over Galveston/The Gulf for two straight hours. Talk about an unpleasant flight. But at the end of the day, shite happens, and it was the least thing I remember from an amazing trip.
People are still dramatic.
On the fight situation, that’s just trashy. Ignorant people exist even on the road.
I had some bad airport moments.

to each his own, I'd rather spend time with my kids in the car than expose them to trash like you.
