Credit Scores are quite frankly insane on how they are calculated, and it was crazy how much information the mortgage company wanted from my wife and I when we blew the "requirements" out of the water. Because I was at my current job less than 3 years, they wanted proof of salary at my old job... which was absorbed by a larger company so that information was not available.

Now to undue the FAFSA debacle that was implemented last year.
Students from households with means can’t even get enough student loans to come close to cost of attendance. Huge disincentive for this group to attend and highly incentivizes lower income that can get all the cash they need.
