Seriously though

Go see your dr....get a script for valtrex

Get refills for whenever you have an outbreak or get it prescribed so you take daily.

Have you been tested for both forms of herpes?

Cause chances are....you have one you likely have the other as well

wtf - that couldn't be further from the truth. HSV1 is a far cry from HSV2. Don't mislead the dude.

He should probably get an HIV test and get swabbed for Chlamydia while he's at the Dr.

no shite.

I've read where probably 70-80% have HSV1 but less than 20% have HSV2 (and the latter skews very high to "at risk" demos and lifestyles).

Many never display symptoms of HSV1 despite having it. It is often transferred from family members.. granny giving baby a kiss.

HOWEVER, you can have either version anywhere on the body. HSV2 happens to prefer "down there" more than the other and is more severe.

The anti-viril properties of L-Lyseine (supplements) also help to treat the painful blisters that come with shingles (herpes zoster).

Expensive but the best over the counter relief you can buy that actually works.

It is often transferred from family members.. granny giving baby a kiss. If you come from a large Italian family like I do, everybody kisses everybody from birth.

Not to pile on, but both types of outbreaks tend to appear when the immune system has been compromised in some way. That's why they're called cold sores. If you've had several outbreaks of HSV-1 over your adult life and never had an outbreak 'down there', you're no more likely to have it than anyone else, and it's reasonable to assume you don't. Everyone should get tested though.
