I was seriously told to put ear wax on fever blisters... 'Old wives tale' type thing.. I'd never heard it before and didn't try it but the person that told me swore by it.

I knew the std status of all the moms I cared for. You wouldn't believe how many had genital herpes.

interesting...how does the healthcare facility find out whether they have it or not?...do they just ask, or is there some kind of herp test?....

Zovirex is the correct answer. BUT, if you take the pill AS SOON AS IT BEGINS Itching - like within 2-3 hours at the most, it will not erupt. period. had the most of my life and my family doc told me this about 8 years ago. Anytime i get any fever or the beginning of summer I keep them always with me. It works everytime.

Part of prenatal care, they do blood work to test for different stds. When you are pregnant they have to know if you have genital herpes because if you are having an outbreak when you go into labor you cannot deliver vaginally because it can cause blindness and all kinds of horrible stuff to the baby.

Std testing is standard part of prenatal care. Certain stds will require certain precautions to prevent harm to baby.

500 mg lysine on empty stomach in AM and PM. Dilute tea tree oil in the AM topically.
