FedEx shipping question

I had a package set to arrive Wednesday, which was pushed back to today and then this morning stated it would be arriving tomorrow.

I just went to check it again to see if the date had changed and now it states “ No record of this tracking number can be found at this time, please check the number and try again later. For further assistance, please contact Customer Service.”

When I call customer service, they won’t let you talk to anyone without a tracking number, which has mysteriously disappeared, so I can’t get past the automated help function to speak to anyone.

Anyone else ever had this happen? Did your package end up being delivered? I have a good feeling it’s gone

Check new ebay listings. That's where it'll end up before long.

Did you not get email with the tracking number? Don't see how that could just disappear.

The Fedex hub in Memphis has had a HUGE theft problem for the last 12-16 months. The number of shipments my customers get that have been opened, some product removed, and then repackaged or just disappear is 4-5x what it has been at any time in the past 15 years.

I did and it was working perfectly fine until I just attempted to check it again this evening. The delivery kept being pushed back and the last update said it would be delivered tomorrow. When I went to check it this evening to see if it was delayed yet again, there’s absolutely zero record of it in their system

If this is coming from a business, they should have a record of the shipment and tracking number on their end. Start with their customer service.

If from a small ebay seller or similar, they still should. I doubt many people pay cash to ship items so there should be a trail.

If not, any proof of purchase info and emails showing tracking info will help w/seller and/or FedEx,or your own credit card.

They are usually pretty helpful once you get them on the phone.

I'm dealing with this on a package that was supposed to arrive today. I got the same message when I checked the tracking number. It happens fairly often. I've even gotten emails saying that my package was delivered, had no package outside, and ended up getting it the next day.

Before it disappeared, it hadn't even been updated since it was picked up on the 19th in North Carolina(coming to Oregon).

I just assumed that it's drivers covering their arse during the busy season.

Most of the problems you experience with FedEx is due to the fact that any swinging dick can own a franchise.

Yup
After that I refuse to do business with anyone using fed ex. Tracked a package across the country each stop no problem. Once it hit Louisiana had same status. Package arrived 10days after that update

Shipping times by everyone who transports goods are unpredictable for the past year, but I have always eventually received the package. Most recently, I ordered several boxes of fruit to be used as gifts. The packages arrived a week late…the fruit was rotten! The vendor sent the replacements overnight.

Most people are using FedEx ground which is a shite delivery company because it’s cheap to ship ground freight and most people think they are getting the reliable FedEx Express service. FedEx bought RPS 12-15 yrs ago(?) and converted it to FedEx ground. It’s still the same shitty management and shitty employees just under the FedEx umbrella company. FedEx Express is the only FedEx company anyone should use for a delivery service.
