How about this for a conspiracy.
Orders from the White House tell the FBI and local LE to clean this shite up and make it a work place shooting. LE on scene gets pissed along with FBI and say frick it. We have enough, lets release all this shite to the media so the real truth gets out and the American public will start asking D.C. some questions

Is there anyone in the media calling them out for any of this?

conspiracy or incompetence
agree, leaning incompetence
i dont really know what the conspiracy would be, what would be the motivation to have evidence tampered with?

FBI says it released shooters' apartment back to owner
According to FBI spokeswoman Lourdes Arocho, the FBI had concluded its investigation at the property.
“When we finish our searches we release the property back to the owner,” she said.

That sounds plausible.
Kind of wish it was that simple really.

Shredded papers? What were these. Maybe they were Farooq's time sheets from work/ Well frick, the place he worked for will have these in tact. Electricity bills?
How are they going to know until they unshred them? Surely you don't think they did that there, and then left the shredded pieces in bags (We don't need those?) There is a whole separate team and lab for document analysis.

Point is, we don't know to what extent these things were examined during the search
They left an iPhone. I agree - to an extent they don't need the computers if they pulled the hard drive. The keyboards could provide some possibility for prints or DNA, some of the stuff just seems egregious - how are they going to reconstruct the events of the past few weeks if they don't have the raw data?
It must be because they don't want to - they're going with the, "Christians triggered him with their Santa Claus bullshite and got what they deserved - gun control is the answer" narrative - sorry for being so overtly political but that's how it looks from here.

Didn't we already know it was an act of terrorism?

That would at least remind me that some people are on the right side of this.

What a disaster.
Shameful for the reporters who went in there

These people are either trying to save face or they are the most incompetent investigators in history.

did they think the swarm of reporters camping outside wouldn't descend on the apartment with the quickness as soon as they said they are done?
Did they actually say they were done or is that just something CNN is spreading to cover their arse?
Plywood was nailed over the door, and the apartment was very clearly the middle of an ongoing investigation.
I think this is a bunch of vultures waiting for an opportunity to be in the news. They've been camping out at the scene and clearly trying to get a peak. They got in and now law enforcement is trying to save face.
shite, they hauled off the landlord that broke the barrier open.

The other idea is they have enough to pursue the cell. You can turn over every little rock but if it's pieced together there is no need to waste time.

Very plausible. I'd be more inclined to believe this than incompetence by the FBI because I really don't want to believe incompetence by the FBI.

There's just no way in hell that scene gets cleared within 48 hours of an attack of this magnitude. We're not talking about some ghetto crackhouse murder. This is a story getting attention all over the world with ties to terrorism.
So when all these Poli Board posters are trying to figure out why more and more people are listening to what Trump has to say... this is why. This country is so chock full of fricking bullshite and lies. People are fricking sick of it.

There is zero chance all that stuff was exploited in 1 day - that's a 1 week job - 4 or 5 working days at least. They were there yesterday, and that's it.
I know they have the computer hard drives and stuff they did take out to go over - but it seems incomprehensible to leave evidence bags, shredded documents, etc. without additional exploitation.

That came from the LA times who was NOT in the house.
It's pretty clear that this is either beyond gross incompetence of a conspiracy.
Or as FT said maybe a little of both.

Im not sure how much you know about fingerprints or DNA.
If I was willing to make a mess in my office I would fingerprint my keyboard right now and show you how little usable prints I would get. I however could swab it for DNA and have these swabs analyzed without ever having to remove it from its location.
