It seems incomprehensible to me that they weren't in the apartment all day today looking for more evidence and possible clues. They know this shite was terror related... why are they not trying to piece the puzzle together to see how big it might be?

There is no logical explanation as to why there weren't forensics people in the apartment much less why there wasn't anyone guarding it.

And not a single local law enforcement type was around to prevent it. Literally the biggest week of any of their careers and they all stay away from it all. makes sense.

I however could swab it for DNA and have these swabs analyzed without ever having to remove it from its location.

I'm sure they swabbed at obvious locations, doorknobs and such - so, I'm tracking with you on that, but all the stuff left behind that would have been bagged and tagged - an iPhone (working or not - exploitable with the correct equipment), shredded docs and evidence bags shows me it was an incomplete exploitation without any other information needed. That's res ipsa loquitor.

That came from the LA times who was NOT in the house.

So it wasn't cleared. That's so incredibly obvious. The door was nailed shut with plywood, there's evidence (and evidence bags) all over the place, and bomb making supplies all over the place.

It's comprehensible to leave evidence bags and evidence if the crime scene isn't yet cleared. It's very clear that one or more law enforcement agencies were not done in there.

People broke in with a pry bar, for crying out loud.

Kerry Sanders should be arrested. He was the first vulture in. The fact that plywood had to be pried with that orange ' Popsicle ' (it's actually the handle of a screw driver..not actually a Popsicle as rumoured on here). tells you that it was still a sealed scene. Lots of people fricked up on this. From top to bottom, however MSNBC needs to be held accountbale....though they absolutely won't be. The majority of media in this country is an enemy to this very country.
It's amazing outlets like Sky News and Al-Jaz US have no qualms still being journalists and presenting facts, while the American 'media' are nothing but petulant pussies trying to stay relevant in a dying industry. frick them all and may they ALL burn in hell.

I just finished watching the footage: saw hundreds of photos, checks, bank account numbers, shredded papers, notebooks, evidence bags, drivers license. lol this was FAR from being a complete investigation!

But incomprehensible as to why they were left unattended. Less than 48 hours into an investigation of this size with terrorist implications and nobody is on scene processing anything...

Bingo.

The media need to be calling out the FBI over this. They should be shouting it from the rooftops.

Right - sloppy, but not unexpected. It would not be pristine when they turned it back over, but it would be cleared of things like that.

Unless it was still in progress as the FBI said this morning.

The same media that busted into the apartment and rummaged through evidence? Yeah I doubt that will happen.

Dude, the FBI released the scene. They supposedly got everything they needed already.

This is on them, not the media.

That's where the incompetence was. Not the lack of investigation or incomplete investigation. It's very clear that law enforcement wasn't done with that apartment.

There's hundreds of media vultures waiting outside just waiting for cops to leave for a few minutes.

Lucky bastards with their own crime lab. Ours kicks back swabs from door knobs because its too 'communal"

As far as the iphone goes, idk. Maybe it was missed? Maybe it was one of the officers and he accidentally left it behind? Maybe a reporter dropped their phone and another picked it up thinking they had something. Point being, we just don't know

If I was willing to make a mess in my office I would fingerprint my keyboard right now and show you how little usable prints I would get.

Would that leave fingerprint dust residue? Is that the mess.

Just curious - I saw a dog, a kid, a popsicle but no sign of fingerprint dust.

I am becoming more and more convinced that the media aren't the bad guys here.

Not really the good guys either, but they weren't the ones who left a crime scene full of evidence to be contaminated.

The investigation was definitely still in progress when some jackasses unsealed the door and let themselves in.

And the passports, and the evidence bags, and the photos... all of that shite would have been collected.
