Yeah - I think the confusion started with their trip to Saudi - maybe they got their Haj out of the way before a martyrdom operation. She was, at one point, reported as Qatari. It doesn't help that the world's almost 1 1/2 billion Muslims share about 20,000 unique names.

No worries. They have been working hard to keep it convoluted without much trade in facts. I have all of the opinions on gun control that I need.

There will eventually be many facts made available. We will have to endure the torrent of opinions until then. Good luck to all getting through the drivel.

2 Pakis, or of Paki descent, trained and funded by Saudis. Let's go bomb Iran, right before we send Pakistan the annual $20 billion in foreign aid.

You are pathetic, and can't let it go.

You are flat out lying. The documentation is in the thread. It's funny how when people like you are proven wrong, you keep repeating over and over incorrect info about the other person. Like you're trying to convince yourself. I linked numerous support. You call names, then keep coming back to tell everyone how you were right.

Yeah man that's really what this thread needs to turn back to is 'motive' and how networked this attack really was (ISIS, lone wolf, domestic, other foreign involvement). Keep the gun control debate on the political board.

Do we really need to explore motive? I mean, what if their target selection criteria was bad people at work?

With the level of preparation, "devout" Islam implicated already, there is little doubt this is terrorism.

how networked

This is significant to determine if this cell was larger and/or had a larger target set. I agree with you on that - at least to assess additional threats and pursue others who may have been involved.

I think that Pandora's Box is opened. Because the powers that be want to focus on the workplace violence angle and use that to put additional restrictions on guns - if this becomes international terrorism (which it is, no question) as a matter of public policy - Obama knows he has no credibility on the issue, no solutions, is trying to defend a Syrian refugee policy (and open borders to the South), and he knows this torpedoes a lot of that.

I've tried to keep the politics down in this, but with this issue - they are just too intertwined.

I will start. Mining triangulation data from cell towers will tell the FBI who was repeatedly in that garage making pipe bombs, etc. It is a time consuming process because neighbors that were uninvolved, as well as innocent street traffic, has to be weeded out.

There will also be fingerprints and DNA in the house, garage, on the tools etc. There will be more arrests in the next few weeks. Radical muzzies spill their guts and tell all they ever knew when caught.

Did you just say he was wrong by calling names, and then call him one?

You have won the internet i suppose.

The biggest question right now is was this the first ISIS attack on American soil?

No one has a clue on where this attack originated. I'm interested to see if he received money while traveling in the Middle East. And this new wife of his. Is she linked to ISIS? Was he contacted via Internet by a foreign group? So many questions regarding origination, funding, networks and less about idiot gun control.

Yeah - you may have some residual evidence from prior occupants, too.

I suspect, based on the scale of the operation, this was a cell of between 6 and 12. If they find more guns at the place, that will start to tell you. Most of them will carry pistols, routinely, if they go around armed at all. But, if they find another 5 to 10 long guns, that will firm up the size of the cell a little more.

The ammo cache is quite large for a single operation, too. If they had 1600 in the vehicle, they were contemplating up to half a dozen targets AND a shootout with the cops. But there were thousands of additional rounds at the home, in multiple calibers. Standard calibers (5.56mm, .223 Remington, as well as 9mm being reported).

That's hit or miss. Some do, some don't.

Yes, siting the FBI study... that was redacted. The original FBI study proven wrong. But others are repeating things to make them true?

Didn't ISIS tweet responsibility or at least take some ownership?

Not that I saw. They called them "Lions" and started the hash tag #America_Burning to celebrate it.

Yeah, all I saw was ISIS giving them props. Not claiming it was their own.
