Fair enough, but enough differences for SAAMI to call them different (unlike, for example, 7.62mm NATO and .308 Winchester, which are, according to SAAMI, the same chambering).

quote:

If I remember correctly the AR-15 is chambered as 5.56. You can shoot both rounds out of it. A .223 is a civilian round. If you have a .223 chambered rifle you cannot however shoot 5.56 out of it.

All of that is accurate.

Utter bullshite. My views would make me a liberal in 1955 - pretty far to the left, at that. Today, things have swung so far to the left, I'm considered to the right of Attila the Hun - but keep pushing that narrative.

Is it semiautomatic and "looks" like an AR-15?

If so, it is 5.56mm NATO.

it accepts NATO mags though

I'm 99.99% certain I'm correct.

If it was said just like that, it is an absurd thought. I doubt they both said it is the main reason but I'm open if you show proof. Do you have the quotes?

yeah it's sig 556 but it was sold to me advertised as being able to handle both. i've shot hundreds of 223 rounds out of it with no issue

Perhaps I phrased it wrong. America has increasingly become more liberal on social issues and Republicans won't budge. There does seem to be less willingness to be moderate and have cross the aisle compromises though.

Thank you for using the correct term. I am so sick of media that call semiautomatic weapons automatics. Evertime there is a mass shooting they always say that the guns used are automatics. I instantly think that the suspects have some serious hardware, that is most definitely illegal.

It's one way compatible. You're fine. The dangerous combination is a 5.56mm round in a .223 chamber. And, most factory loadings would probably be nominally safe the other way, but an unnecessary risk, IMHO.

But your combination is quite common and safe from an engineering standpoint.

I have no idea who I'd vote for in upcoming election but I certainly am not clambering to vote for Hillary. No way in hell i would vote for Trump. Cruz is too radical for me.

Increasingly Republicans have swung too far to the right, it's hurting them nationally and it makes me less likely to vote for them in future. But in past I have mainly voted Republican.

As if the Constitution is so straightforward that there is only one way to interpret it or that it has been interpreted the same way throughout history.

It's a meaningless statement. As if people who think differently don't "believe in the constitution"

Here's a special kind of retarded post from some moron on the PB

That's right, a double barrel shotgun and a revolver are automatic weapons.
