I use the python grip on the first ever handshake with a new person to establish dominance and to note their expression. Sometimes I am surprised if I get a stronger grip than expected. Firm is the way to go bro.

My neighbor pulled that shite with me once. I said to him "Why did you squeeze my hand so hard? That's weird." No shite, I asked him that.

He felt really uncomfortable afterwards, stammered a little and averted eye contact.

Now that's how you "establish dominance".
