No it’s the property owner’s fault for committing murder.
So, its murder now? You have tried and convicted these two from an online article? That's not very progressive nor liberal of you.

If you have to murder to protect your possessions, you’re living beyond your means.
Again with the quick to convict, but it could also mean you had the means to buy a gun to shoot at people stealing your shite.

Generally, you don't have a right to stand your ground as a pedestrian in the street (or even in your driveway). You would be expected to try to get out of the way of the vehicle before shooting at the driver.
Not in Louisiana, you have “no duty to retreat”.

Just found out mine was stolen off my truck while it was broken down on the side of the road so I can empathize.

Except you can't take someone's life defending your personal property.
Yes you can, and the father and son proved it. Not guilty, they feared for their lives.
Good job by these 2.

So having a working vehicle is now "living beyond your means" if you can't afford to replace a several thousand dollar part?
Is that what your latest lame defense of this thief has come down to?
Just take the giant L, you're now claiming that someone who can't afford thousands in auto repairs is "living beyond their means" in order to defend a thief
You're blaming the victims for protecting their livelihood and hard earned dollars because some lowlife took the easy way out instead of actually working to earn those dollars himself.
If these victims were anywhere near middle class or below they most likely spent two weeks of honest work earning the cost of that catalytic converter, two weeks of their own lives I'M SURE they would've rather spent jobless and getting high like the thief.
It's clear to everyone here that anyone defending the thief has never lived a day of adversity in their lives, probably born with a silver spoon in their mouths and never had to actually struggle to make ends meet.
You can't rely on the police/DA or a trial to ever take place, so you're just supposed to wave goodbye at thousands of your hard earned dollars because some lily white sheltered pussies say so
