A. No one has a right to be included into ever fricking thing that happens.

B. If someone chooses to have a non-traditional lifestyle or family then not being included in certain traditional events is part of that burden.

C. They just need to man up.

You would think people would learn from that.

Meh, they're kinda creep anyway. I'm no fan of SJWs but maybe they finally found an acorn.

We get it. You're the bastion of social tolerance. As long as it doesn't personally affect you, you don't seem to care. Well, apparently what happened at this school did affect other people. People empathize and have a right to be upset over this.

The reasoning is lazy and incredibly flawed. It basically boils down to "It's just a dance. Get over it." That's easy for him to say because it's not his dance. I think it's something to be upset over and should really shed a light on how flawed the whole social tolerance movement is. It's basically social bullying.

he's a troll with no interest in discourse, don't give him that much credit. But otherwise you're right. The comments on Brockman elementary's FB page are hilarious.

If north Louisiana got over it 20+ years ago (ie, nobody with whom I grew up ever had a father/daughter dance), then the rest of the world can just get over it.

OR BE frickING MAD ABOUT THIS.

It never was a big deal; it'll never be a big deal frick I'M SO MAD.

The dance didn't exclude anyone and it was a tradition. Sounds like a pretty fair compromise already to begin with. Just because a specific group of people wants to live their lives doesn't mean the rest of society has to stop living theirs.
