You told him not to judge the city off of this one weekend. If anything that is exactly what he should do, because if he actually looks back at the year of 2015 crime, he'll never bring his family back again. Rightfully so IMO.

The city is a burning train wreck that will never be cleaned up because crooked politicians and law enforcement.

The city is on pace to have one of if not the lowest murder rates on record in close to 50 years

So you are saying New Orleans is becoming Detroit?

I'm not saying there is no crime outside of this weekend. I'm saying violent crime doesn't happen in front of the Royal Sonesta most other weekends.

Hell at this rate of take my lodge cast irons and the judge to Detroit well before I'd go to New Orleans.

Your friends business stays open? Several bar owners I know with downtown establishments close for the entire weekend now. They say it's not worth the trouble. Pretty sad.

I will never bring my kids down there during that game.

It is ridiculous how grown people can act that way. It's more so shameful when they have kids just watching and learning that behavior.

I can't remember if it was this past Mardi Gras or the one before it when we were on the balcony at the Royal Sonesta and someone got shot right outside of it on Bourbon.

You're mistaken. Not in New Orleans. That only happens during the bayou classic weekend.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit I see. Perhaps you would be well served to go spend your time in Detroit.

The most obvious thing to comprehend here is your incredible infatuation with an awful city.

I know the OT will scalp you if you don't provide a link but that link was the most useless news story ever. Not your fault. fricking journalists are worthless these days.

Story says "something happened but we don't have any details, thanks for clicking on our web page so we generate ad revenue."

Because the democratic news tends to shy away from real news stories, like how awful New Orleans crime is.

It's not awful. I just told you the city is on pace to have the fewest murders in fifty years.

I have lived here for years and have never been a victim of a crime nor do I personally know anybody who has. In fact, I have never felt unsafe or threatened on the streets in the city.

I have in the past.... I usually pay a guy to do it now.... Works out well - he meets me at work, takes my keys and brings back a clean vehicle before the day is over....
