It's above ground, which means the child was already in the pool, presumably on a shallow side (didn't know above ground pools had different depths.) Assuming the aunt was the one watching her, and she also couldn't swim, this situation was the family let this kid swim in a pool alone, with no flotation device, when there was a deep end, and nobody in the house could swim. That's quite a series of terrible decisions.
