When you think it's tomorrow but it's really still today. Those naps are total mind screws.

I get home and immediately fall asleep at like 5:30. I toss and turn and sleep for like hours. Someone's yelling at me. I look at my phone. It's 7 AM. Why is someone bothering me at this time of the morning. And then, over the next 5 minutes, it slowly dawns on me it's really 7 pm.

There's nothing shittier for your sleep cycle and body then passing out during the late afternoon, napping for 4-5 hours, and then waking up fully rejuvenated after 10.

One time when I was younger, I attempted to polish off a fully-stuffed illegal burrito from Izzo's. I didn't quite finish it, but I ate probably about 80% of that son-of-a-bitch.

I returned home around 2, collapsed on my bed, had some very realistic and peculiar dreams, woke up at 9 that evening, headed to the kitchen, ate the rest of the burrito, and stayed up for like 7 more hours.

If I do happen to nap (even for just 15-30min) and it is any later than like 1pm, It is impossible for me to fall asleep that night.

I realize that. It isn't intentional. I already have insomnia enough. Hence why I only slept for like 3 hours last night and was super tired when I got home today. Still was only asleep for a little more than an hour.

As a teenager, I could never get enough sleep. Seemed like 12 hours a day was optimal, but of course I could never get that except in the summer. On days I didn't have to work after school, I'd take a 3-hour nap and then easily fall asleep for the night just a couple of hours after that. Then the summer before college, my dad got me a job working as a helper at Exxon, working five 10's. Wake up at 4:30, at the job site by 6am, home by 6pm with traffic. I'd often skip dinner so I could sleep.

Nowadays, I'm still just as tired, except now, just on random days after 4 hours of sleep my brain is just like "nope, time to wake up and function poorly for most of the day."
