When it was first legalized in Colorado I worked for an oil and gas company that had a location there. We couldn’t keep employees because every random test was hot or they’d just quit when their name came up.

Same. I have medical issues and a fourth of a gummy occasionally means I never have to choose opiods and risk addiction.

But I also understand employers do not have to be ok with it.

I rather take a little bit of cannabis in the evening to help level me off than chugging down a few glasses of bourbon or a handful of beers

Can always tell a druggie because they try to justify their addiction by saying it isn't as bad as someone else's addiction.

Just own it. Be real to yourself.

This is a discussion to see if folks have seen others get fired for this as I heard of it the other day. My company has a flexible policy and if it's prescribed by a medical professional then that is not considered an illegal drug. Hence medical marijuana. As long as you do not have it in the work place or do it on site. Very much like drinking, you can do it but you don't show up to work drunk.

Go educate yourself moron! Did you just say "addiction"?! Really?? Cannabis is a non-addictive substance, unlike alcohol.

People (uneducated as yourself) always jump to this rhetoric. And you probably suck down a few beers every evening and think that is much better.

Money is a non-addictive substance
Pussy has no addictive chemicals
Social Media has none either

Seriously, you sound like an addict hiding from the truth. You like the feeling and search it out. Good for you. Just be true to yourself.

Seeing the visceral way those who use it react to even the slightest criticism of it, coupled with the fact they are willing to risk their livelihoods to use it, I’m not so sure it isn't in some way addictive.

Why would you think you could take a whiz quiz with a card?

Hmmm. Good advice if you would listen to yourself.

Don't be a burnout. Your livelihood isn't worth throwing away for a non-addictive substance.

At some point, grow out of old habits and move on with life.

Anyone have a medical marijuana card and have had to provide a random drug screen for their company? What was the result?

Having that card doesn't allow you to use weed if your company has a policy against it.
