It sounds like a volar ganglion cyst. If so your surgeon had to be very careful to protect the radial artery. Ganglion can even wrap around the radial artery and it makes these types of cysts really difficult to remove everything down to the joint capsule. Good luck with it. Know these things can be a pain but there are more treatments they can try if the cyst is still present

Yes that's it, a volar cyst. Surgeon mentioned it was bigger than he thought. Compared it to an iceberg. Surgery was supposed to take 10-15 and took almost an hour. I was out for what ended up being 1.5 - 2 hrs. I just don't want to be a bitch, but now it's more painful than it was and I have a 5k deductible. If I had our old 500 deductible I'd say screw it and go to another specialist and just take the loss.

I have a ganglion cyst on my foot. I tried whacking it with a law book but it didnt work. It doesnt bother me much though. The only time it hurts is after whacking it with a law book.
