I wonder if the husband was being a dick during the argument and was like "Oh yeah? Well I hope you get mauled by a fricking tiger!" Then she gets pissed and gets out. And he's feeling good about it for about five seconds, then immediately feels terrible.

It was tested successfully apparently when using dummies, but didn't work during the live test. Still can't believe he didn't use a net or something in case it failed. Pretty dumb on his part.
