you want to buy or sell used items, most of the business is transacted via marketplace.

I sell 99% new items.

I have a room full of stuff I got as gifts or bought more than one... like the purple and gold NB shoes.

Then why are you doing man stuff like financial transactions?

I kid, I kid. I actually realized that you were not a bro right after I hit submit and I figured you were going to respond with something like this. It was all a joke anyway. I hate scammers and I hope they all burn in hell.

The stuff I sell is new and it isn't shite. It's selling stuff I can't gift or register.

No it’s not.

The internet is vast.

When my mom was alive she paid the bills, not my dad. Guess I took after her.

I have 2 households of stuff crammed into one location... a lot is brand new. I would like to get some money out of what I have. For instance, mom bought a new 2 cushion sofa because that's where she slept. She never used it because sister witch took her after Dad died, then she died 6 months later. I have 2 sets of flatware. Mine is Mikasa. Cost over $700 for 12 PC. place settings. I don't want to just donate it and let crooks like Goodwill sell or steal it before it ever hits the sales floor.

It's been 5 years and I still have to get rid of parents stuff. I am overwhelmed. Too much crap to go through.

Lady it sounds like you might be a hoarder or at least a packrat with 2 households worth of stuff crammed into one location. But I commend you for trying to clear out the clutter. Keep up the good work and don't let one bad experience stop your progress. I've had plenty of good experiences on Facebook marketplace. It's a great tool for what you need to do.

Not a hoarder.

I have my dead parents stuff and mine too.

Sister witches never came to help dispose of parents stuff.

I got the house and had to put my stuff in here too.

My "she" fake encounter was one selling a utility trailer. Her listing was out of Monroe, LA but had a Mississippi area code and the photo of the trailer looked eerily like another photo and background of a similar deal near Alabama.

We were nearing a deal and she wanted to have "earnest money" wired by cash app which I don't use. However, I told her I had someone within 15 minutes of her who could bring hard cash and I wanted to pay her with the trailer in sight.

She shut that deal down quickly, citing it had to be completed via electronic transfer. In other words, there was no trailer and "she" probably wasn't even in Louisiana.

Don't forget a lot of PDs or Sherriff's offices advertise them as safe exchange locations for these kinds of purchases. Good, especially for a female. And I just bet that if you put in your ad that you'll only accept payment and bring the item to the police monitored exchange location, you'll avoid a lot of scammers and losers.

Good job on getting started, but acknowledge how heavy on your mind knowing you're waking up, yet another day, with a 5 year old problem on your hands. Set any goal, starting small. List one thing a week. Just take the step.

If you use Marketplace to sell, beware of a "businesswoman" who goes by Katelyn Tyler on Facebook.

Thanks for the heads up. Out of the millions of transactions that occur on Facebook Marketplace daily, this person is sure to show up in the messages of a given Tigerdroppings poster's listed item somewhere in the continental U.S.

I'm interested in where else one would get the attention to sell low priced items locally other than marketplace.

I had a guy try and scam me when I went to complete a porch pick up of a partially eaten 1/2 gallon of Blue Bell ice cream.

It was clearly at least half eaten and it was Breyers, which is technically a “frozen dessert” and NOT ice cream.

Getting Hard to trust people these days.

Is this supposed to be some kind of insightful warning to others?

Next do people who change lanes without using their blinkers. Be careful out there.

If you could give her some positives and benefits, and what to watch out for, it might help spur action. It would help reduce analysis paralysis.
