My boss's wife is currently in a class action lawsuit with the FAA. They were essentially saying white people need not apply and flat out rejected anyone the was white from the ATC application process.

I believe that, a few years ago they were hiring based on the last four digits of your SSN, another fricked up gubment agency.

There was a guy in her class that had a 4.0 GPA and scored almost a perfect grade on the ATC qualification test and was rejected as soon as he submitted his application due to his "biometric data".

It is like everything dealing with the Federal Government it is quotas. Most of the people who go to the FAA gain experience in the military and the majority is white males. I had applied 3 times before my packet got picked cause I am a white guy and when it got picked I was leaving the country and turned them down. Anyone who is a minority and meets the criteria will get picked up. Is it wrong yes but that is a battle that will not be won.
