Higher elevation could be the culprit, how high are you?
Posted on 10/1/22 at 4:06 pm to dbbuilder79
My 2015 in town gets 13-14 mpg from day one. I was expecting better. Highway might be 16. It's been a while since I checked. 100% dealer serviced. All recalls done

Do you have this on your truck?
If so, what was the change in economy?
I don't care about more HP. My truck pulls whatever I'm towing with ease.

After the delete and tune that I have on my 16’, same 37” tires, I still get right at 15.5. The delete and tune didn’t change my mpg at all. It just has WAY more power and no epa bullshite. I’m at essentially sea level near NOLA.
When I drive to South Dakota annually I get noticeably worse mileage in South Dakota. Not sure why, but it’s about 13.5 in South Dakota. I usually fuel back up in Oklahoma City driving home and then I get 15.5 again. It’s weird.

I get 13 with my truck camper AND hauling my boat. 2013 Chevy 1 ton diesel.
Sorry baw....

Go with the lighter truck nut options to reduce drag

Nah.
Been all over at high elevation and if there was a difference it's not something I noticed and I watch my MPG.

2000-2700 above sea level on average.
It depends on where I'm working that week.
To be fair, it's a lot of uphill and down hill driving.

I didn't buy it to look tough. I bought it because I have to tow a trailer constantly.
Some weeks I have to tow up to 14000 lbs.
It's the cost of doing business.
The whole purpose of this thread is to find out if someone knows of a good tuner to help with the Biden price hike so I can stay competitive in my line of work, not to see who can roll the most smoke.

So, what do you drive?
Did you modify it in any way?

I drive about 180 miles per day

I already mentioned that up above.

I bought it stock and it is still stock.

it’s about 13.5 in South Dakota.
That's way higher up than Southern NV elevation, but I don't know about the humidity.
I've been told that high humidity and lower elevation=better air to fuel ratio. But that kind of stuff isn't my forte.

I’m out of ideas, I only have my first hand info and limited anecdotes from other 250 owners about the emissions bullshite

You should've put you're towing constantly in your original post.
It's need to know info.
Good luck. I'm out.

Yeah, no shite. If he’s pulling a trailer that 12.1 seems about right.
If it’s 12.1 with no load, that’s not normal.

Sorry, I just went back and looked.
I was going to get a Denali because I know it would have gotten about 14-15. But the only decent one was about 20 grand more than my F250. Any GMC was at least 10K more.
I've been told they have tranny issues lately, tho.
Regardless, now I'm stuck with what I have unless I want to take a 5-10K bath.

My F-150 is at about 23 because I don’t have an extra bunch of shite on it.
