I saw an analysis video the other day. Whoever approved items in that warehouse should have been standing in the warehouse. 3000 tons of ammonium nitrate, tons of fireworks, 1000’s of old wooden pallets.
The bags had opened over time. Then add welders.
Only other things they could have done more foolish would be to smoke in there, BBQ, or make a fire to keep warm if Beruit gets cold.
