The trucks for the big companies are standardized. I know new ones run about $290k
I have never heard anything about there being decoys. The daily cash “losses” and journal entries for accounting tracking are unbelievable though. Like someone said, the tickets, the bags and the counts are sometimes incorrect so there are mechanisms to sort it out. Most big stores have a cash vault that is managed by an auto counter and the transfers are handled by the armored company.
The insurance on an armored car operation is outrageous.

The daughter of a down the street neighbor had a college job at a bank. She forgot to follow some procedure that resulted in someone walking off wit h $60k. That was a firing offense

The vast majority is just a number in a computer ledger. The total U.S. money supply is about 60 trillion dollars only 8-10% of that exists as printed notes and coins.
