Look, its glaringly obvious that you aren't 100% informed on what a novel virus is.
There are things that you can't plan for, and to shut it down is the prudent thing to do until you know what you are dealing with and how to deal with it

We all know that would have went over like a lead balloon in America.
Only the hand wringing fear mongers.
Allow some businesses to practice and tie it to distancing guidelines. Like any other regulation. This isn't that hard.

Doesn’t matter idiot. This one is different. No good news allowed btw

Is this how you live your life? All or nothing? That's absolutely what your advocating.
Your trust in political decision making is disturbing. Risk aversion should help formulate part of a comprehensive plan, not the entire plan.

That model has had huge swings in predictions. It’ll go back up again with Tuesday’s numbers... which means we will get a few “I told you so” posts and threads from the posters wishcasting for 2 million deaths... and then it will go back down over the weekend.
Wait, are we talking hurricanes now? Or still Covid-19?

Shawn would have us shut down for every novel virus apparently. I wonder where he was in 2009.

Roger, you are lying to yourself if yo think that shutting down major democratic strongholds in the nation wouldn't have lead to much worse than what we are seeing now.
I 100% think that this is God's way of telling us (as a world) to slow down. Enjoy your family. Stop worshiping money.

Look below at his post. He just revealed his true nature.

It was a hell of a panic, but doomsayers, it is time:

Ever wonder maybe that is why they reacted like they did? Trying to keep from getting to swine flu #s?
And when that is accomplished, they will be chastised for reacting to something that "wasn't nearly as bad as the swine flu". And the next one, we will not react to and there will be 100's of thousands or millions killed.
Rinse and repeat.
Posted on 4/6/20 at 10:02 am to shawnlsu
This will be the position of people unable to admit there was overreaction.
Posted on 4/6/20 at 10:02 am to ell_13
I didn't say that God created the virus, only that He is in control.
Posted on 4/6/20 at 10:03 am to shawnlsu
Swine flu only killed 12k in the US and it started here. It took up 300,000 hospital beds though. You think that has been avoided?
