So. What I have learned from this thread is that all the pills have side effects like suicidal thoughts, weight gain, zero sex drive, and feeling completely numb and emotionless, but they also might work. Yay...

Why did you omit the people who have had a great experience with no negative side effects? The key is to get on the right drug. I was lucky enough to find one that works for me on the first try. Prozac.

Brintellix worked really well for me.

*Trintellix

I was a lead on the agency team that launched that drug. We had to change it to Trintellix not long after launch because there was concern about it being confused with Brilinta. A huge pain in the arse but a lot of money for the agency.

Every medicine you take has the risk of side effects. Every one. Vitamins and herbals as well.

Lexapro did none of that to me. It works very well in my case.

Better off not going than participating in a dishonorable fashion.

I grew up Southern Baptist. I was a freshman in college the first time I attended mass.

I knew the priest. He was a Jesuit and one of my professors. When I went to take communion--my friends are dicks and didnt warn me--he shot me down. Very graciously, trying not to make a scene and embarrass me. He whispered to me, asking me to stay after mass to talk with him.

So I did. He apologized and asked more about my background. He understood it was an honest mistake and that I'd been taking communion for years at my hometown church.

Then he told me what I just told you "Communion is between you and God", and he offered to let me take communion in private.

ETA: I declined, apologized for my part, and thanked him for his kindness
