Liberal and female? Probably a nice person but absolutely brain dead

I'm not exactly sure you're right. But neither is she.

Anyone know what's happening to the OT's fat friend?

He needs to mind his own biscuits and life would be gravy.

I hear too much gravy leads to heart problems.

Poor white families tend to stay poor too. It’s not just inner city blacks that are poor generation after generation.

How does she explain dirt-poor African immigrants coming here and being wildly successful compared to their long-lost domestic brethren?
I just met this morning with a young guy from Jamaica. Lives in South Florida. He came to the US with nothing about 10 years ago. Worked to buy a truck, became a successful owner-operator. Now he has 3 trucks and a couple of guys working for him.

Parents play a large role.
You hear it all the time.
Poor parents. Poor habits. Poor work ethic. Poor values. Poor outcome.
Poor parents. Good habits. Good work ethics. Good values. Good outcome.
All because you're poor doesn't mean you are stuck in a hole. Families get out of the hole because they prioritize the right things.
If you made 20k a year, minimum wage on benefits and housing, what do you spend the money on?
Alcohol, smoking, junk food, nice cars, nice phones, big TV, materialistic things
Or
Any vehicle, a simple phone, healthy foods for your kids, and saving money for your kids education

Well, your premise may actually be racist.
Your thread title says:
Then your thread provides that you're triggered for being called racist because you:
Your argument seems racist because it hinges on "poor inner-city black people", as opposed to poor inner-city people. If you truly believed in the argument, it wouldn't matter if the poor inner-city person was black or white. Or do you believe that only black inner-city poor people are victim to this cyclical behavior because they are black?
Nonetheless, the options are that you are either 1) a racist or 2) sloppy with your argument/words.
Your call.

Imagine that, someone who is morbidly obese having health problems.
I'm shocked.

That doesn't make it racist. It makes it racial.

Cultural values like reading, writing and math?

I have no idea.
My favorite article from graduate school - this was an all timer, GOAT wacky left wing one - was the one that was written as home computers first became a thing. Windows and Mac were racist and othering because they used an office as the interface for computers. Office things like a trash bin, file folders, and the like were a white male thing. Minorities weren’t represented in computer interfaces and therefore set minorities back in keeping up with the technologically advanced world.

The answer lies somewhere in the middle. All of your points are spot-on. But I think it's a bit narrow minded to ignore that we are only a generation or 2 removed from segregation, and even as recent as early 2000s removed sundown town laws. Black folks in urban neighborhoods certainly could do more, but it's no coincidence that white folks only fairly recently allowed them to live normal lives. It's undoubtedly played a role in their current state.
