Everyone should watch the new PBS American Experience on Walt Disney

One of the greatest men in the history of our country. Bootstraps guy. His energy was limitless and he created the perfect public persona:
"I am not Walt Disney. Walt Disney doesn't drink, Walt Disney doesn't smoke. I drink, I smoke".
Americana exists today because of men like him. Have your kids watch it as well if they want to know what it takes to become successful.

Caught most of it. Very intersting.
I also thought it was interesting that he basically thought of Disneyland as his own personal playground to the point that he had an apartment built for himself in the middle of the park. Apparently he liked to play on the rides late into the night.

Weirdest part of him was that he was an anti-Semite but not a racist.

He's a great study for anyone interested in business and management. Hard to argue that there is someone out there who could better communicate their mission and vision to the rest of their team and have it endure to the extent that is has.
