I just got back from Walmart with the guy. He picked up some stuff from sporting goods and got some Nikon scopes for $30. I'm going out of town tomorrow and mentioned that I might see if the Walmart there has any in stock for that price and put one on my AR-15. He just shakes his head and says, "that's stupid, why would you do that?" I then have a confused look on my face because I don't see what's so stupid about that idea.
