city park golf course in br...there's a hole where you tee off in front of train tracks. we saw a train coming and hurried to tee off. we jumped in our carts and boogied to beat the train.

the 1st cart got through fine, the 2nd cart/me was on the track teetering on 2 wheels cuz i turned too hard onto the tracks. death was staring me in the face as the train was less than 50 ft away. finally my cart stabilized and disaster was averted...i double bogeyed the hole.

I lived on St. Charles for a year and was astonished at the number of people that tried to beat the streetcar and lost.

Nope. You have to be a special kind of stupid to get hit by a train

Some people don't seem to understand that trains run on rails and therefore it is predictable where they are going.

I've seen quite a few close calls.

Vagrants crawling under a box car not realizing the train was starting up (near the Shreveport Rescue Mission).

Gas tanker on the tracks as the gates drop and the train approaches.

KCS train stopped in Shreveport by the overpass over I 20. Three tracks. Couple with a minor child goes in front of the stopped train not realizing that a UP train was coming by the stopped train at full track speed. Engineer of the stopped train calmly steps in front of the couple and stops them from running out in front of the UP train.

Dumbasses who get their photos taken on active railroad tracks.

When I was a kid. It used to look like it passed by so slow. I thought I could hurry up and roll underneath it to the other side.

I never tried.

I was kind of an idiot.
