We did that a few years ago. Different company from K2. Some carry oxygen and can go higher; that's needed to get above the mountain. We've also done a glacier landing below Mt. Cook in New Zealand, and a helicopter flight up to the Franz Josef glacier in New Zealand. All were spectacular and well worth it. A few shots from Alaska including landing in Talkeetna.

Did Grand Canyon a few years ago. The pilot of the chopper was an Asian female. She keep referring to the Canyon as “ a big hole”!
“We flyin over big hole”, “ that’s big hole down there”...it got old after a while but the views were awesome.

Global Warming will have that wreckage in Seattle by 2021.
uh, that's not how it works.

The K2 Aviation de Havilland Beaver is perched on a hanging glacier on the north side of a 10,500-foot ridge about 14 miles from the summit of Denali.
Glaciers are RETREATING because of global warming, not expanding.

No thanks. I fly enough for work. Same reason I don't do a cruise vacation. Spend enough time working on the water.

I've done most of the flightseeing excursions locally. Some of the best are the helicopter landings on glaciers. There have been fatalities, I suppose to see some of the beautiful places in the world you do have to take some level of risk.
That said, I am very picky about the weather. If I can't see the mountain tops, I'm not flying.

yup, it is much better being on the ground wishing you were in the air, than being in the air wishing you were on the ground

Did a helicopter tour on Maui. I recommend it.

Took this seaplane in Fiji. It was a bit rickety and the pilot didn't even wear shoes. Would do it again in a heartbeat, though.
