...either not knowing what she had or just wanted to stick it to her ex baw during the divorce proceedings? Does this break bro code even if you don’t know the baw?

Buddy of mine just bought a Ranger bass boat for $20,000. Damn thing is easily worth more than double that but the woman said they were going through a divorce and it HAD TO GO FAST and for cash!!!!! Signed the title over and everything.

What’s the best deal you’ve gotten?

My ex gave my favorite tshirt away several years ago. It still bothers me to this day.

Both the ole lady and your buddy are about to learn a very hard lesson. As to your buddy, I doubt the boat was in the wife's name only. As far as the wife's lesson goes, even if it was titled in her name only doesn't mean it isn't community property.

My friend from childhood had to file bankruptcy, because the bank was pretty much taking all his crap back because he kept buying indulgent stuff rather than pay his bills . So I went to the auction and bought a ton of his hunting and fishing stuff. Don’t even care. I wouldn’t have done this if this was a family member, but the fact that I was pretty close with this guy when I was younger didn’t really mean anything to me. He had cool stuff that I got

Edit: Not really the same thing, but the fact that he was probably having problems with his wife over bills, leads me to believe she would probably have ended up selling his stuff anyway

My old man bought a perfect condition Volkswagen for next to nothing off Craigslist from a guy who was in the process of divorcing his cheating wife. The guy said he hated the car almost as much as he hated his ex wife

Kind of. I bought some Ping irons off a guy going through a divorce for $100. They weren't even a year old. He was trying to unload personal assets for some reason, but I forget why he was wanting to do that.

She got the goldmine
I got the shaft
They split it right down the middle
And then they gave her the better half

Recently bought 6 new saltwater Shimano fishing rods and reels a woman was selling out in front of the bait shop.

Got all 6 for $150 since her husband was a cheating frickstick.

won't come back on him, it should come back on the party that sold it grossly under market value(if that was the case,) in that that party would have to forfeit an additional part of their community property to make it right, but since it was the wife, I doubt that will happen
