Homebrewing combines DIY with alcoholism. It can be a fun hobby.

You could also learn to play the guitar. It's a lifetime pursuit and is cool to see the progress.

I feel the opposite about the tv series, I have so many that I've never seen that I feel like there is months worth of content. I've never seen 24, Lost, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, The Wire, Mad Men, Six Feet Under, and a ton of others.

I do a lot of this. You can find a forum for just about anything you're interested in. I love to cook and you have to eat every day, so that's another good way to fill my free time. If neither of those, I go out and drink.

I wish I had more time or for that matter energy. I have way too many things than I do time or energy to do em. Here is some of em.
cooking
fishing
gardening
hunting
reading
writing
camping
making sausage,boudin,etc
canning fruits and veggies
and on and on for me it aint for a lack of things to do but te get up and go to do em
