Well the **** hit the fan when I opened my Entergy bill. It was bad enough that last month's bill was just over $300. This month topped out at $467. This the highest ever by $150. The sad part is that we actually tried raising our thermostat and keeping lights turned off and this is the result.

It will continue to go up through the summer months.
It's a combination of more energy use (duh) but also the cost to deliver that energy.
I went around and around with my utility provider for them to tell me that the cost of delivering that energy is high (Thanks Biden? or is it Putin?) and that the service company simply passes that cost to the customer (you)

Additionally, if you do not have the means to pay your utilities, you can apply for government assistance.
So all "those people" who voted for Biden and depend on the government couldn't care less about what utility charges are because the government pays the utility bill.
This goes the same for most other services.

What is the point of a public service commissioner if the utility companies and come and go and change rates as they wish?
Seriously, Katrina surcharge to rebuild their grid! A billion dollar company, publicly traded and the users are having to repay the power grid costs!
Cox Communications gets to legally charge $30.00 - $60.00 for internet in underserved zip codes and down the street it jumps to $90.00 for the same package!
WTF

I know money is important, but did you look to see if you used more or less KWs than you did in the same month last year?

Oh, also, all of those subsidies that went to wind and green energy cost a FORTUNE and are not getting the return that the government and utility companies had projected.
So again, they are passing that on to the customer.
Here is a good video to watch:

Traditional energy is relatively cheaper to provide, but green energy (since its off site) costs way more.
