I have a buddy who grew up in Germany - he said the Euro soccer matches over there were always wild. I asked how they compared to LSU-Bama games, he said not even close. He said fans at the LSU-Bama games are polite and courteous compared to Euro. Said at least here people respect each other's personal space. Not so over there.

As an American I felt a lot more cultured after we had that talk.

I did watch the match. And in the second half the Russians started to attack and press. Lallana and sterling were basically AWOL.

I could easily see this England team, with all its talent, just whimpering out like they did in the last World Cup. Hopefully, Rashford gets some playing time. That's how Rooney broke on to the scene. 18 at the Euros.

The Russian CBs couldn't complete a pass. They only scored once England stopped pressing forward. They are literally the worst Russian team I've ever seen. They might advance because of the larger tournament. I'm skeptical that they will be able to break down other teams who play in the low block.
