They go to the dome.
The reason is St Charles. I assume they toast a Gallier hall then up Julia to the dome.

Ah, maybe instead of down Poydras they take Loyola all the way to Julia then left on St Charles then do the regular route to the convention center like the rest of the Uptown parades.

With any alternate route that cuts off any part of St Charles from Canal to say poydras would be devastating to all of the hotels and party grand stands in that areas.

Website is pretty terrible and they took away the message board which I thought was valuable. No emails or updates and we're about a month out. Do they just not want to piss off the mid city parade goers?

I wish they would post the floor plan to the Convention Center, I have no idea where our table is located...
and it really sucks arse we had to rely on the krewe to pick for us...

The last update I got was about a week ago. We are taking the Mid City route but not all of the details have been finalized. From St. Charles we will take a left on Julia toward the Convention Center since we are not going to the Dome. We will not pass the Hard Rock Hotel site on Canal, but how we avoid it is the part that has not been decided yet.
