Agree or disagree?
I'm surprised it's not 90% or higher. Networking is imperative, regardless of industry.

It helps but if your network doesn't like you very much you are screwed.

every job I've gotten since graduating college was from networking

Got my current job through a failed interview at the same company last time. Old hiring manager changed position, didn't make the hire, referred me to New hiring manager after transition

Networking has always and will always be a huge factor. I'm not sure what it has to do with a resume.

Networking is key. I recently got declined for a new gig after being one of the final two in the running. I am sending a hand written letter to the hiring manager thanking her for her time and requesting to meet to discuss future opportunities. Stuff likes this makes people remember you and recommend you to others. It's all about networking.

I am 1 for 2. My second job was off my resume. Every other serious interview I have done has been via a networking.

You need both. A good network won't get you in if you don't at least have an ok resume. A very good of either network or resume can make up for the other being nothing special.

It's both.
However, most executive-level people ARE hired through nepotism (networking).

You need to check your privilege, you racist.

Networking/good ole boy system has always been better than a sterling resume. It's the main reason idiots are able to get jobs.

It's always who you know not what you know. I've gotten every job through my network. Not to say the resume is useless, it just helps back up the recommendation.

If you don't have superior credentials, then yes. Even with superior credentials, it took me a while to land my first job.

What are superior credentials?

Got my job through a guy who knew a guy. Now my resume lined up great with the job, but I would have never found the opening otherwise.

Networking is definitely key. There are a lot of jobs that aren't openly advertised, and you only find out about through connections.

It's always been like this, there's nothing new here and it isn't like the resume is dead. It's just more useful when you're a relative unknown.
