WTF this one gets Id'd because she's a cop but the one who started the shite doesn't?

One feloniously assaulted an officer, the other girl only committed a misdemeanor. These are not equal level crimes. In my state officer discretion allows you to issue you a notice to appear for misdemeanors and skip the whole jail thing. So no mugshot to publish. No idea if this is a thing in Louisiana.

a felony count of battery on a police officer

How did she up the ante to a felony count? It’s rare enough for one officer to charge another but to make it a felony?*

*Just now realized something. You only lose your gun rights if it is a Misdemeanor count of domestic violence. I wonder if they are arresting her on a felony count to avoid the federal firearms prohibition and then are going to plea if down to something else?

I don't think any state has a misdemeanor assault on law enforcement charge (and in most cases any public official, on duty). The state really frowns on that type of behavior.

Is that the bull girlfriend 3rd from the right on Lacy's twitter page? So they are both cops.

LA does:

A.(1) Battery of a police officer is a battery committed without the consent of the victim when the offender has reasonable grounds to believe the victim is a police officer acting in the performance of his duty.

B.(1) Whoever commits the crime of battery of a police officer shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars and imprisoned not less than fifteen days nor more than six months without benefit of suspension of sentence.

BUT...

(3) If the battery produces an injury that requires medical attention, the offender shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned with or without hard labor for not less than one year not more than five years, or both.

So she sent the other officer to the hospital? Damn.
