Lots of electricians, painters, roofers, and general carpenters smoke weed. Every day. On the job.

I'd be far more concerned if he showed up intoxicated than if he showed up smelling of cannabis.

If he's working hot he wants to make sure he's super extra cautious.

Now you know why he's not working in a refinery. He's stuck doing remodel. Loser likely.

I can tell by the fact you hired an electrician that you haven’t done residential electrical work. I rewired our entire 120 year old home during our reno pretty much solo.... ...it sucked complete arse. I couldn’t imagine having to do that shite sober. As long as he isn’t on your roof or something let the man burn.
Cool story. No one gives a shite. The fact he can smoke weed and do the job shows how simple it is.

When high, you don't feel the shock as bad.

Electricians, plumbers, roofers, cable/Satellite, painters, lawn, pool, all smoke weed. As long as they do a good job and don’t rip me off or is some meth or herion junkie idgaf.

Pretty sure my house ladies are all on adderall which is fine with me.

Let him finish the work and mess with his head when it is time to pay the bill. Tell him you already paid it.

What do you do? He’s done good work in the past, but he definitely lit up before he walked in.
Tell him or her don't do it again and reschedule

I've seen iron workers get high during lunch then, in the afternoon, run on 6 inch beams 200 feet above a concrete floor.

Reeking of weed - What do you do?

1 - Introduce him to edibles

2 - Offer him a dab of your Tips

3 - Stand between him and your daughter, because "Reefer madness"

4 - Laugh and tell him, "It must be 6:00 pm somewhere."

5 - Be a good neighbor. Light one up and offer him a hit.

6 - Shout. "THE NARC's ARE COMING THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR!" and laugh as he tries to flush his stash down the toilet.

7 - Ask if he still uses Zig Zags or has switched to the high priced wraps.

8 - Ask if he ever got high snorting BC Powder.

9 - Tell him, "Willy said, Grapevine works just a well."

10 - Tell him you are moving to Colorado soon and need a knowledgeable guy to help you run a wink/wink business you intend to open.

If I had to do repetitive painting

My dad was a construction Superintendent. He always said painters would tell you they drank to flush out the chemicals in paint from their system. Then he would add most of them drank enough to float them out.

I think that was a construction site joke.
