I don't know what to think about the future of Baton Rouge when you have people like Gary Chambers advising the mayor. He is so blinded by his hate of white people that his thoughts are irrational. Rather than urge his own people to take responsibility for their actions and better themselves, he continues to blame their problems on the white community.

I've though about what you said and would like to change my last sentence to:

On GC's Matherne's post, Can someone post this (I'm blocked):
Gary: "There is not crime all over north Baton Rouge."
Context: One sharp guy Douglas commented about crime being a reason businesses don't locate there and GC tried to shut him down with his usual lies.
Don't post as a reply to Douglas though because it will be buried in those replies post as a reply to the main.

I would hope the Mayor isn't listening or taken anything he says seriously
She used him for votes, etc, she got what she wanted and gave him some bs "board member advisory" title, which means do nothing

Your posts, especially on the PoliBoard, were traditionally left leaning.
Compared to people on the poli board, sure. That doesn't really say much.

Can someone tell gravy that contracts are not "given away" and that there's a fricking bid process that has no racist leanings. And how many contracts have minority subcontractor stipulations? He's a fricking retard.

He's one of the most racists fricks I've ever seen.

Fixed. He's like the black version of those toothless KKK hillbillies, ignorant racist and marginalized due to his idiotic opinions.

Oh but it does. Any contract involving any amount of federal funds (most do), require a percentage to minority-owned businesses or DBE. In BR, this is translated to black-owned.

He's not completely stupid. He knows that keeping people whipped up in a constant frenzy, panic, and outrage is good for business because he portrays himself as the guy who's got the answers. That's why people cling to him and whatever message he chooses to put out. He's pretty good at dangling red meat in front of his audience and they take it every time. I mean, how else could anyone portray opening a grocery store downtown as racist and have so many people applaud him for his deep insight?

Well he is quoted in the Bible.

BINGO!
And why they changed the term from minority-owned to DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprises). They must have seen it coming?

It's amazing how sad society has become that someone like Gary has a voice that's influential when he spouts off so much ignorance.
The most pathetic is how those in upper echelons, e.g., politicians, business owners, balk and cower in the face of tweets, emails and posts from what really amounts to a small % of people. Especially in light of how many fake accounts are used by social activists to boost support. It's definitely populism gone wild.
