But Mitch's family owns most of the paid parking lots. See the stories written on it recently.
That's why they raised the parking fines and increased the meter maids. NOLA shifted people into his family's paid lots.

My friend got a parking ticket the other day in nola, but never got the physical ticket on her windshield. She knows that it didn't blow off or anything like that because she wasn't ever actually out of her car. She was parked with it running for mere seconds, and then pulled off. Just got it in the mail.

Or, don't go there at all. Ever.
Next weekend 40th wedding anniversary and almost every year wife and I go to New Orleans for a weekend to celebrate. Not this year, refuse to give the city any money.

The lack of LSU-loving, OT-type rednecks is one of my favorite things about New Orleans.

I always felt like New Orleans is a great place to go spend a weekend or a couple days in.
Great place to visit and have fun in. Even better place to leave.
Frick living in Nola. But ill go drink there anytime.

Boy you guys are far more butthurt post statue-removal than I anticipated. For the record, I wasn't in favor of removing them, but geez get over it, guys. The statues weren't what made New Orleans great. Y'all remind me of my toddler.

If you get tickets, just don't pay them and change your license plate.
I hate the city's traffic people.

It'll never be anything like what it once was. All of you know that.
At what point was the golden age? The CBD is better and more vibrant from a retail and residential standpoint that its ever been.
