My "family" decided an intervention on Christmas would be in bad taste so they tried one tonight. Buncha counts. So I checked into a motel, probably spending the holidays here.

Grandma trying to get out of attending Christmas cause my aunt married a black guy who was 15 yrs younger than aunt.
Last year it was in laws spouse got caught with another man on Christmas Eve and they ruined the kids Christmas by sitting them down Christmas Day and informing them they were divorcing.

Implemented that shite as soon as I had kids. Both my wife and I have divorced parents. Anybody who does, knows what a pain in the arse this can be. Her dad's side does xmas the Saturday before xmas. We go visit my mom for xmas eve. Anybody that wants to see me on xmas day is coming to me. I have the big house, I have the grandkids u wanna see. I don't mind the cleanup. Deal with it!!

They're both dead now but when they were alive the Christmas fights between my wife's Croation uncle and his Serbian brother in law were legendary.

Have an 19 year old cousin that's knocked up with twins (by some guy that's on home incarceration) and eating everything in sight because she's "eating for three". She made the comment she couldn't understand why we didn't get her any of the clothes she asked for that were pre-pregnancy size.

The main point of all this is that no one is ever satisfied anyway. You didn't stay long enough, you stayed longer at so-and-so's house, you ate too much there and now you won't eat here, etc. After several years of this, we started staying home. F that.
