as a non beliver who is versed in religions..
If everyone followed the word of Jesus (red words in the gospels) there would be peace and little war or hunger. His message was love and tolerance and respect for man.
If everyone followed Muhammud's words there would be a constant war of religion.
There is that, and that is undeniable.

Agree.
I watched a Doc on Gaza and Hamas last night and thought it did a great job in showing what life is like for those under Islamic religious government rule. The most interesting thing was the fact that when things were relatively stable with Israel, the locals turned their anger on Hamas. As soon as things got ugly, they became full on Jihadists and turned their anger on Israel and the USA.
There is little doubt that attacks by these various groups are organized to get a reaction from the West, and return loyalty to the various Islamic powers.
It's all a power play, and violent reactions from the West is the goal of those who plan these events because it galvanizes support.

I don't think anyone would argue with you that it's better to practice the Muslim faith in the Western world than in the Middle East.

The people are pawns. Hamas recruits out of prisons. You can get time cut off your sentence for every chapter of the Koran you memorize. Being a martyr is considered an honor with pictures and memorials of martyrs displayed in prominent places.
Basically these young people are taught no matter how bad a muslim they are, they can be granted paradise in heaven and fame on earth by becoming a suicide bomber. Western media is restricted and violent islamic propaganda promoted to ensure proper brainwashing.
Israel is provoked to galvanize support for their cause, and the leaders live in Damascus while Gaza is being attacked. It's mind boggling the control they have gained over the people who live in the region.
