It's the law. For a 911 responder to flaunt/ignore the law to get out of tickets is a affront to taxpayers.
He got a pass "officer discretion".
When you keep getting "a pass", you begin to think you can break other laws. Like filming little kids doing sex acts. Which is why I'm against this whole first responders "professional courtesy" thing. Our sheriff just got convicted for sex crimes with minors. Geez, set an example folks. A good one. Take the tickets. Show you are not above the law. LINK

Chuck, you are really reaching by comparing the guy that went off the road with his machinery and then repaired it himself, to a pedofile. They shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same stratosphere.

Koolaid It's the "CULTURE" of "professional courtesy" that makes it happen. If they get away with minor crimes time, and time again you begin to think you are above the law. Next thing you know you are filming kiddie porn.

Behavior is learned. If you let ya kid get away small stuff it just escalates. Same thing with criminals. They start small because they can get away it. Ramp up to big stuff.
