It's bad enough we have to see your ads on every bus that passes, but seeing them all over the OT is a bit much.

Gordon would have done this but singled out the people from Orleans and Jefferson Parish so that everyone else can eat the pizza.

I don’t want to be a jerk, but a healthful meal would be much better. Fresh fruit and salads, turkey breast, shellfish, etc..

Injury attorneys are the shite stain of our society and a huge part of why our state is so behind

Well yeah it would be better. But for ease of feeding and delivering, and so the workers can go to break room and grab a slice or two on the run, pizza is perfect. At least it sounds like they got some quality pizza and not just 100 boxes of cheap shite.

I’m tucked in 1000 miles away. I’m also not that charitable nor am I seeking publicity. If I was, however, I’d send health professionals with nice incomes the meals they have a hard time gathering, preparing, and cleaning instead of the pizza they can easily procure themselves.

It’s really more the nutrients than the money. Having the right amount of zinc, selenium, and vitamin C can make a difference between fighting off an infection or not. Sugar crashes can bring down immunity. I really don’t want to be a jerk, but it’s something to think about when doing something nice.

It's not about you being a jerk. It's about you not thinking that whole thing through with the logistics behind it.

What do you want? Them to stroll a fricking professional caterer into the hospital?

We get it. There are much better options to eat than pizza.

They could bring in a bunch of cut fruit and evolution juices with turkey breast/crab cake sliders. Small oyster/shrimp Poboys would be great too. I would think that’s doable in Louisiana.

ETA: in a better world, the hospital would be providing these kinds of meals to staff. At least here in California, a LOT of money is wasted on overpaid, low IQ administrators who can’t be honest and admit they are worth less than a physician or specialized nurse. I’m glad someone did something nice, but I hope future benefactors will consider nutritional needs more carefully.
