I was listening to a piece on the radio years ago about a town just outside the boundary of a big reservation out West. The town sells alcohol and the reservation is dry.
The host stated that it would be possible to walk from one end of main street to the other on the bodies of drunken Indians who were laying passed out and never have to step on the pavement.

Lol. Yep. There's no incest in the Ozarks. Harrison is one of the world's great cities.
Kidding aside. My mom worked at an elementary school in Camden, AR in the late 70s. After having to deal with several cases of incest, she said frick that, and got a job at a bank. She was raised in Alabama.
Off topic... Her favorite bank story? A fellow teller was worried about breaking her diet. "I'm going to my sister in law's house for dinner tonight. She's serving up fried squirrel, and I just know I'm gonna blow it."
Let's not pretend any southern state is more enlightened than any other. We all have a share of crackers.
