I would love to hear them try to justify him hitting a nurse behind the head multiple times.

Someone should beat the frick out of this idiot.. For hitting a female employee multiple times. I hope he got arse raped in jail.. I am sure he was bailed out in no time and he parents are saying he would never do something like this, but frick him..

Several points here.

1. Down vote me all you want. Cops can be lazy. Drunks belong in jail, not ERs. Taken care of countless guys who were told "jail or hospital"?

2. Never close a door with a drunk, and never get a drunk between you and the door.

3. When something like this happens, that dude gets fricked up. Had many "come to Jesus" talks with drunks. As I have aged though, my discussion is usually IDGAF In nature. "I'll never come in this room again. I'll leave you in your own piss and shite, your a blacked out drunk, and I am a nurse. Who they gonna believe?"

4. Intubation. I used to work with a female doc who tubed many drunks. One guy just for calling her a "count". her rationale "he's unmanageable and we need to protect his airway."

To me this all goes down to parenting and how the boy was raised. TPOS wanna be

Beyond that we have tricks at our disposal. Foley catheters inserted without lube, "oops I forgot". A quick tug on an inserted catheter always gets a drunks focus. Annectine given before etomidate, but that is another level of mean.
